    Giulio Bargellini

    Trained in Florence under the guidance of the painter Francesco Vinea fashionable devoted himself to the production of most brush tip often treating the genre in the wake of neo-Pompeian Alma Tadema, with works such Idyllic and Feast Day. In 1898 he created The Incubation of the poet, a work that is affected by the secessionist Central European climate. In 1896, with the Pygmalion (Rome, National Gallery of Modern Art) won Retired art in Rome where he moved.

    There he devoted himself mainly to the decoration of spaces pubblicic (the monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, the hall of the Council of Ministers at the Interior Ministry (1920), the Council Hall of the Palace of the Bank of Italy (1921-24). Among the exhibited works remember: The son of Santa Monica, Resurrection, The Abyss, workshop, Reflection and Theodora.
