Personal and landscape painter marinista characterized by a direct feeling of the real, in agreement with vibrant color and a happy always found the ‘framework’. At twenty-one, cut off his studies of medicine, he devoted himself to painting and can be cited as an example of self-taught painter.
His passionate hard work soon brought him a following of awards that began with a gold medal at the National Exhibition of the Society of Fine Arts in Milan in 1893, followed in 1900 the diploma of honor at the International Gorizia, in 1902 a medal of gold to that of Monaco of Bavaria, in 1907 a first-class gold medal in Barcelona.
