A grand tour, in reverse: an exhibition focusing not on foreign artists who came to Italy, but on Italian artists who set off to explore the world. A fil rouge that links Locatelli and Boggiani, Caffi and Chini, Corrodi and Preziosi, from South America to the East, ending with the adventurous life of two women painters, Pan Yuliang and Juana Romani.
