He had support from the Municipality in order to study in Rome and he sent him out of gratitude to his hometown any works, including “Il Vesuvio in Naples” and “The Pyramid of Caius Cestius” (watercolors) and now preserved in the Town Hall.
Forced by the need to work for art dealers, dealt with the same subjects over and over again: the “Roman Forum”, the “Palatine”, the “Waterworks”, “Porta Foxy.” Performed, however, some notable works as “A view of Castelporziano”, painted in 1868 for the Duke Grazioli commission, the fresco “Casino of the four winds” on the Janiculum, in a wall of the Galleria Corsini and a mosaic representing the “Roman Forum”.
