Sabatino De Angelis
Neapolitan sculptor, born in Naples in 1838.
He did his sculpture studies privately, and today; it is located at the head of a Sculpture Establishment in which the Pompeian works of all the excavations that are carried out are reproduced.
For many of the main foreign museums he has reproduced a large number of the main masterpieces found in our galleries and art galleries, and among these we mention “The Apollo of the Belvedere”; “L’Arrotino di Firenze”; “The Faun playing timbales in Mercury” which are now in Copenhagen, “A boxer” who is in London and for whom he received his second diploma of honor, “Mercury at rest” which is in Paris, and many other works that he received honors and letters of encouragement from many museum directors and illustrious personalities.
