He treated the landscape, portrait and genre painting with scrupulous fidelity to the truth, remaining loyal to the tradition even in the period in which the new strategy is affirmed everywhere.
He participated in numerous national exhibitions, always favored by collectors and the public. His works: “Words and deeds”, “A flower langue”, exhibited in Milan in 1872, “The Holy Family”; “UItimi smiles Autumn” and “The blessing of the Catacombs”, exhibited in Naples in 1877. In the same year he was awarded in Vienna on his painting “The pigeons of St. Mark”, and exhibited in Venice “Beat and rebound.”
In Paris World Exhibition of 1900 he obtained an honorable mention with “Portrait of Olindo Guerrini.” Other works: “Encounter pleasant in the park”; “Sassomolare (High, Bolognese Apennines),” “Flock abandoned”; “High Bolognese Apennines – washing the sheep.” The latter three were exhibited in Milan in 1906 on the occasion of the inauguration of the new head of the pass. In the Gallery of Modern Art in Rome is preserved “Journey sad.” The Faccioli was a teacher at the Academy of Bologna.
