Pietro Morgari
Piedmontese painter, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, where he resides and where he exhibited, in 1880, the beautiful painting “Violation of borders”, representing a horse that in the stable moving goes to take its place in a corner of the stable itself where a bitch is squatting with her own babies, a remarkable picture that was reproduced in many newspapers and among them also in the ‘Italian Illustration’ by Treves.
This picture was joined by the other: “The last expulsion of the Count of Monterosso”. In Milan, in 1881, he had a beautiful picture of animals entitled: “Desolation”, and in the same city, in 1883, he exhibited: “Maggio”, another canvas worthy of praise. In Rome, in 1883, he had “Dolor”, and in Turin in 1884, “Fox Hunt” and “Idillio”, two paintings with a powerful color from a very happy execution.
Even his painting “Actors wandering” deserves to be remembered both for the excellence of the subject and for the originality with which it is carried out, and the refinement of the drawing, and the general intonation of the painting.
