His training took place in Milan in the wake of the examples of history painting and of R.Casnedi F.Hayez. He devoted himself to painting inspired by episodes of contemporary history Garibaldi is genre scenes made with a scrupulous description that made him famous. With this production attended the national exhibitions and only in the last period he became interested in painting landscape painting from life.
