He soon moved to Naples , where he studied literature and art at the side of T. Patini , with whom he remained friends . He was a pupil of D. Morelli , F. Palizzi and G. Smargiassi within the Academy of Naples and took a careful realist lesson . It was also attentive to the sharpness of vision of the school of resin , particularly near G. De Nittis.
After this training he returned to his native Abruzzo where he created landscapes characterized by soldio realism. Later he taught at the Institute of Miracles of Naples , until his death , and privately in the best families . In leisure hours he performed various jobs teaching religious subjects : “Our Lady of Pompeii ,” a ” fisherman Andrew “, which is found in the church of the Rosary in Palena , a ” Madonna with the family,” in the church of Lettopalena .
