Mario Rutelli
Mario Rutelli was a protagonist of Italian sculpture from 800 to 900 and one of the best-known performers of the neo-Baroque and Art Nouveau taste in Italy. The bronzes of the Gallery Berardi resume the model submitted in 1897 to the Committee on the implementation of the Fountain of the Naiads in Rome, then built in 1900 and inaugurated in 1901. There are several bureaus of various size bronze of this but this is remarkable for its unusual dimensions and for the high quality of the merger.
At the Sicilian Regional Assembly located in the Norman Palace in Palermo preserves a series of these sculptures, all of them smaller than the one presented here.
