After studying law he devoted himself to artistic training. Living with his brother Francis, he was also attracted by the movement of macchiaiuoli; did not attend any school, but participated in passionate discussions about art, his friends and colleagues.
Good animal and landscape painter, was present at the Paris Exposition with his painting “Scena di Maremma”, and other exhibitions, which took part especially with paintings by subject Maremma.
