He was self-taught, although in his city has occasionally attended night school in the nude at the French Academy at Villa Medici, and has, as a teenager, assisted as an apprentice painter decorator Joachim Pagliei. In 1892 he made his debut at the Show Society Amateurs and Students of Rome, with three landscapes. Since then he appeared in a number of important exhibitions.
The First Biennial in Rome in 1921 he had a solo exhibition in the hall “Painting of war” where gathered more than fifty works solidly designed well composed with the fruits of imagination alone, not having the Costantini participated in the great war.
