Eugenio Pellini
Eugenio Pellini was born in Varese in 1864 and brought up in his sculptures the characteristics of his native land: the country clean air devoted to agriculture. He moved at a young age in Milan, one of the first themes dear to him was motherhood that allowed him to receive the award Tantardini, giving him the first notoriety.
Among his works are: “Conquest”, characterized by the grace of ornamental Nudino, “Girls who throws the circle,” a little ‘prissy, the realism in the “basket of grapes,” and the melancholy “Capriccio”, many more his other heads stunned or smiling. He died in Varese in 1934.
