    Beniamino De Francesco

    He attended the Academy of Naples with Pitloo. Around 1845, he went to France. He was criticized for the hardworking and diligent patience of his paintings of truthful character, but with a romantic sense especially in light effects.

    They remember him, “The Catacombs of San Gennaro”, preserved in the Royal Palace of Naples, “Landscape”, in the Gallery of Capodimonte “The Feast in the sea to Immacolatella” preserved in the Palace of Caserta. He died in St. Malo Dinard at 20 July 1869. Several of his paintings are in galleries in Copenhagen in Angers, the French Academy.
