Benedetto De Lisi
Benedetto De Lisi was born in Palermo in 1831 and died there in 1875.
He established himself in his native Sicily where he obtained several public and private commissions, mainly portraits, including busts and commemorative monuments, of the Sicilian aristocracy. He was also a skilful portraitist, between physiognomic attention and romantic idealism. Very rare at auction, he has achieved results starting at EUR 500 and reaching EUR 600 for female and male busts of common people.
