Landscape painter of great lyricism and tonal balance. He completed his education at the Academy of Brera under the guidance of G. Bertini and F. Carcano. In 1882 it turned out winner of the prestigious Prix Fumagalli and from there began a career that led him to exhibit at major Italian and foreign exhibitions, and also obtained numerous commissions from the Royal House of Savoy (A night of 1890, kept at the National Gallery of Art modern Rome).
In the 90s he settled in Venice and this city dedicated his best evidence not sparing even the experience with the genre painting (Day of lean of 1895, preserved at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto).
Among the works include: Alpi trentine, Sul Tonale (veduta alpestre), Una frana in Val d’Adige, La vigna, Una via di Trento, Il mulino, Cadine passeggiata trentino, L’estate in montagna, Case al sole, Ricordo dei monti trentini, Confidenze, Un mattino a Verona, Tempo grigio a Venezia, Sole morente. Lago di Garda, Alto Adige, Tramonto a Riva di Trento, Paesaggio campagna romana, Arco di Settimio Severo – Foro romano, Ampezzo, Paesaggio, Primavera a Maccarese, Cles (Trentino), Inverno a Venezia, Villa Borghese.
