    Arnaldo Ferraguti

    Started in Naples, from scientific studies, he managed to get kicked out of school for having designed, almost under the nose of a professor Bourbon, the profile of Garibaldi. He enrolled at the Academy and studied under the guidance of the Morelli, but then followed the directives of the Michetti. In 1883 he exhibited at the Brera’s painting “At the spade”, now in the Museum of the landscape Pallanza.

    He took part in following the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in Rome, and between 1885 and 1889 he represented also in Dresden, Monaco and Vienna. He earned a silver medal in Nice in 1884 and another in Ferrara in 1885.

    His other credits include “The Harvesters”, formerly owned by the comm. Ingegnoli; “Idyllic uncultured peasant”, “Monkfish Pallanza”, “Pisces”, two “Still Life” and two “Head of a Young Girl,” in the Gallery of Modern Art in Milan, “In town,” “the sea”, you’re colored crayons, which figured at the Third International Exhibition of Venice in 1899. The Ferraguti was also appreciated illustrator of books and magazines.
