    Antonio Piccinni

    After being routed to art, in his native Trani, by Joseph Quercia, he studied in Naples with Biagio Molinaro and I attended the Institute of Fine Arts, where his teachers were Domenico Morelli and Thomas Aloysio Juvara.

    In 1865 he won the retiree painting banished from the Province of Bari, and in 1873 the National Roma. He went to the capital, he was employed in the Ministry of the Navy, from which it was commissioned to travel to detect the Italian coast, African, Asian and early America. In the field of art became known as a talented etcher, and figured his works at exhibitions of the Promoter “Salvator Rosa” from 1864 to 1906, and numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Are recalled: “The revolution of Masaniello” (etching), exhibited in Naples in 1877, “The Miser”, posted at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1878, “The miser cents”, and portraits to fade out of “King Vittorio Emanuele “and” King Umberto I “, exhibited in Turin in 1880,” a way of Ravello “sent to Monaco in 1885;” Fiammiferaio “(watercolor), exhibited in Venice in 1887.
