Alfredo Luxoro
Ligurian painter, born in Genoa, and was one of the masters landscapers more active. Its marine are evidence of an end, but he can in his palette, all shades and hues that abound in the river. “A bow,” and “Aft”, are two paintings by him exhibited in Turin in 1880, and are of unquestionable artistic value. In Milan, in 1881, he exhibited “Neptune”, a magnificent marina, and a half-figure of a man with the title: “Cipollaro.” In Rome, in 1883, he had: “In the Navy” good canvas that was sold, and Turin, in 1884, another beautiful picture: “Gray”. It ‘an expert in genre painting, and one that earned him the most renown was entitled “Spes”, and severely pretty simple framework from which blows a gentle melancholy, and that is a woman sitting on the strains of an anchor that looks the sea and waits for a loved one far away. At the same show also had another painting titled “Light Ship”.
