It was formed under the leadership of L. Campini in his hometown. In 1866 he fought with Garibaldi, and then studied at the school of Milan Pagliano, but gradually moved away from its methods. After his studies he went to Monaco of Bavaria to perfect. Ernesto Zimmermann there he was very intimate. He took part as a result of various Italian and foreign exhibitions and performed a large number of portraits. At the Society of Fine Arts in Florence, with his painting “Saltimbanco”, won a gold medal, also in Florence exhibited the “Portrait of King Umberto l”.
