    Achille Carrillo

    He graduated in law in Naples, but attracted by a strong passion for painting left the profession and began to study drawing with Giacinto Gigante and Smargiassi. In 1859, the exhibition of the National Museum (the Bourbon period), he exhibited his first work, “Vox clamans in the desert”, now in the Pinacoteca di Capodimonte in Naples. In Parma in 1878 exposed him even getting a gold medal and a cash prize. He was a teacher of landscape at the Institute of Fine Arts in Naples. His main works are: “The garden of Titus,” “keep it clean,” “The Ravine,” “The Valley,” “The pearl of the fields.”
